Kubo's artistic skills and ability to design characters that look unique from each other has always been one of his greatest strengths. It's a shame he doesn't have the writing chops to back it up. Hard pass on this, even though it looks really cool, I just can't trust him after the pathetic mess that was the ending of Bleach

To be fair, it was axed, and it suposedly still had about a hundred chapters to go.
And most of his explanations and storytelling consistency in the final arc as a whole in terms of overarching plot devices was commendable, albeit glacially paced like no other.

yeah I agree, it was just the last fight that was the issue, plus there are times when a mangaka does a poor series then moves on to something better

Well this is kind of different from Tite Kubo. A one-shot manga about flat-oppai witch duo, eh? And one of them has sexy thighs. This could be interesting.

Amen to that brother.

The tagline of, "Witches, dragons, and reverse London," has piqued my interest. Only time will tell if this goes to series, if it becomes a fun, action-packed manga or falls prey to the same issues that plagued Bleach in later years.

I choose to believe she is Byakuya's distant cousin. Or possibly Ishida's daughter.

Anyway, Kubo is a guy who I absolutely adored back in Bleach's heyday, but he really became frustrating to read later on, what with Bleach glacial pacing during Hueco Mundo and beyond, the deterioration of backgrounds in the artwork, his constant recycling of story elements, bogging things down with convoluted and contradictory lore (though admittedly this is a problem with a LOT of SJ manga), and the fact that he just couldn't write an antagonist that was worth a damn. He'd probably be better off keeping things simple, doing a more low stakes story without trying to be epic. I'll never deny that he has talent, so hopefully he doesn't get bogged down with BS again

I respectfully disagree. To me, the two girls on the cover appear to be female versions of Byakuya and Ichigo.

But it's a one-shot so I won't judge it on looks alone. Though if Kubo is going to get another series started, I hope he would move past this Bleach designs and make a whole new character set. This is why Mashima is getting some heat with Eden Zero for recycling his Fairy Tail cast.

Will it featured a female protagonist? Looks interesting, to be honest. Will definitely check it out.

do you realize that is just one chapter right?

Do you realize these one-shots are trials to see if the concept has potential to gain popularity and get serialized?

not really, this is just a part of a project that every well-known Shonen Jump mangaka makes an one-shot for the magazine's 50th anniversary.

No one knows if it will continue in the future. But the "hard pass" on 60 pages that you can read in 10 minutes it sounds a bit ridiculous to me lol
