Yeah. Though production values are really low in this anime sometimes, the first episode alone already made me cry too. Even when rewatching it in another language, the isolated child's feeling hit me hard.

Yep. If I ever suffer from dry eye syndrome, I'll just go back and watch certain episodes from season 1.

Hah! I knew it before I read the article. I get war flashbacks from hearing Pink Blood. I don't really care for the direction TYE has taken, but season 1 absolutely destroyed me. I cried like I lost a family member.

I mean, as far as I know she did the opening for To your eternity and Evangelion so it would have been one of the two. It doesn't surprise me she didn't watch it until now, imagine how many artists have openings they sung, they wouldn't have time to watch them all, after all making an opening/ending is just business from an artist's viewpoint
