But seriously, Blu-ray was introduced almost exactly 4 years ago.

A little rewording is in order — Evangelion is the top Blu-ray release in Japan in the format's short two-year history on Oricon's sales charts. Oricon only began posting sales charts for Blu-ray in July of 2008.
