Can't believe such a stellar title is just getting the barebones treatment
 . I would've loved to have at least an art booklet, as the backgrounds seen in this film are absolutely beautiful.
It would've been easy to expand on that, but with the distributor being Funimation, I guess I shouldn't have expected anything else  .
Needs more NISA

The english dub isn't bad, but to be honest, young Ame and Yuki sound like adults trying to voice very young children.
The Japanese original uses actual kids and it makes quite a bit of difference. In fact for that clip they posted, since it's based off a real location, with the same building, it's almost as if they got the young seiyuu to act out the scene in real life. |

I'm just glad it's coming to New Zealand too!
On a side note, wish funimation didn't have to region restrict their trailers/promo clips... Just goes to show how ridiculous licensing and copyright has gotten. It's annoying having to push the traffic through a proxy just so I can see a promo clip... I'm incredibly impressed with this English dub... Well, when I watch Japanese animation I like to do so with the Japanese voice cast, so wether there's a dub or not has zero value to me .
@Joe anime, so you're telling me that companies like Aniplex USA & NISA are always able to get art books/soundtracks/deluxe packaging etc, while Funimation is able to get once a year? Sounds legit . Following that assumption, Sentai Filmworks has never been able to get anything other than a barebones license agreement? They know that they can get the minimum, and still set a high price, just look at Sentai Filmworks slate for the end of the year.. 12 episode titles for 59.99$. That's what NISA charges for most of their premium sets  .

Funimation are legally required to region block these videos, unless your IP is from Canada/America, since they don't licence shows outside Anglo America.
@SouthPacific Believe it or not, people watch anime because of the content and not because of some frivolous packaging/booklets/premiums or whatever shit you call it. If you want a collector's edition, then wait for a collectors edition or whatever. Just enjoy the story and setting of this film, since that's what matters the most. Also, this film has appeal outside of anime fans. Do you think NISA would even touch something like this? |

NISA and AOA market their products towards the hardcore otaku,they know that they'd be willing to pay more as opposed to regular fans who don't wanna pay their prices. The prices that Sentai list are their suggested retail price,you'll find them at cheaper prices when you go to different places. |
