^ I dunno, I find the animal companions to be moe already, though probably not the moe you're thinking of, hah. Feels like it's been a while since I last saw legit (but talking) animal characters in an anime. It may sound a bit strange saying this, but I think the presence of traditional elements in this re-imagining of the Momotaro story actually makes the show feel fresher than it would've otherwise.
Also, something was said in an earlier talkback thread re: Momo Kyun Sword about the convergence of the main character's bust with peach imagery, right? Heh. That reminds me quite a bit of Sakuya's initial appearance (as well as her progressively skimpier 'advanced' forms) in Okami. And it seems little coincidence that Inugami looks a bit like Amaterasu. The red markings definitely aid in their resemblance...
