Kingdom Hearts Singer Hikaru Utada Divorces Husband

Singer Hikaru Utada's record label Epic Records Japan confirmed on April 7 that Utada has divorced her husband, an Italian man eight years her junior that she met in London. Utada met the man while he was working as a bartender in a hotel and the two quickly married. Epic Records Japan did not confirm when the divorce took place or the reasons behind the separation.
Utada has kept her personal life under wraps, but she gave birth to her eldest son in July 2015. She then released her newest album Fantôme in September 2016, her first in eight years. Utada then switched music labels last year.
She's working on an image song for the drama Boys Over Flowers Season 2 (Hana Nochi Hare ~HanaDan~ Next Season) that premieres on April 17.
The 35-year-old Utada was previously married to film director Kazuaki Kiriya, but the pair divorced in 2007.
