Fullmetal Alchemist's Al Continues Hunt for Philosopher's Stone as High-End Statue

posted on by Jennifer Sherman

High-end figure maker First 4 Figures revealed its first Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood statue on Friday. The Alphonse Elric resin statue is slated for release in the fourth quarter of 2019.

The figure comes in Definitive, Exclusive, and Regular editions, plus Combo editions for both the Definitive and Exclusive versions. Any statue is available in gray and silver variants, and the Combo Editions include both. The detailed statue's base is inspired by imagery from Fullmetal Alchemist, such as Al's Blood Seal, and it has a glow-in-the-dark feature. The Exclusive edition adds a comical head, which is interchangeable with the normal head, and the normal head includes a light-up LED feature. In addition, the Definitive edition includes a Philosopher's Stone with LED feature and Pride's shadows on the base. The statues are about 22 inches tall.

The Regular edition and Exclusive editions cost US$549.99 each, and the Definitive edition costs US$699.99. The Exclusive Combo edition costs US$999.99, while the Definitive Combo edition costs US$1,249.99. The preorder period is open now. The exclusive and definitive editions are only available until November 16.

As with every First 4 Figures release, Alex and Chockles appear in a making of video for the statue with a behind-the-scenes look at the development and production processes.

Fans of the company's work may also want to check out other recent releases, including statues inspired by Cowboy Bebop and Berserk.
