Indonesian publisher M&C! announced on Thursday that it has licensed Yayoi Ogawa's Prince of Glace (Ginban Kishi) manga. The company will release the first volume on January 4.
M&C! also scheduled the release of the first volume of Makoto Yukimura's Planetes manga and the first two volumes of Kōhei Hanao's Testament of Black (Bible of Black) manga for the same date. Testament of Black was previously slated for October 5, but was delayed.
M&C! describes Prince of Glace:
Chitose Igari works as the editor in a small publisher's health magazine, and is longtime friends with celebrity male figure skater Kokoro Kijinami. But behind his successful life are two figures: a magical girl, and an armored knight. When Chitose discovers this secret, Kokoro and Chitose's fates become intertwined.
Ogawa launched the manga in Kodansha's KISS magazine in September 2012. Kodansha published the sequel manga's ninth compiled book volume on September 13.
Ogawa's Kimi wa Pet manga previously inspired a live-action television series adaptation in 2003, and a South Korean live-action film adaptation in 2011. The manga is also inspiring a new upcoming live-action television series.
