Detective Conan Manga Tops Da Vinci Ranking

The January 2019 issue of Kadokawa Media Factory's book and manga news magazine Da Vinci unveiled its 18th annual "Book of the Year" list on Thursday. The rankings are not based solely on sales. Instead, a group of 4,275 voters including book reviewers, writers, and bookstore employees selected this year's lists. To be eligible, a manga had to have a new volume published between October 1, 2017 and September 30, 2018.
The magazine's comic rankings of the top 50 titles are:

Chika Umeno's March comes in like a lion topped the list in the previous three years, but did not appear on this year's list (the manga's 13th volume shipped on September 29, 2017, and the 14th volume will ship on December 21). One Piece and Detective Conan were also in the top five last year.
