Hikaru Utada Reveals Official Track List for Best-Of Album

A new song, “Electricity,” specially crafted for the album releases soon, as well as new mixes and re-recorded versions of Utada's greatest hits

TOKYO, JAPAN – 4 March 2024 – Hikaru Utada unveiled the track list to their highly anticipated best-of album SCIENCE FICTION, set to release on 10 April, 2024.

Utada's first greatest hits compilation showcases the artist's journey through their 25 year musical career, featuring recent creation “Naniirodemonai Hana (A Flower of No Color)” – the theme song for Japan's latest Fuji TV series “The Gift of Your Heart (Kimi ga Kokoro wo Kureta kara)”; a brand-new song “Electricity”; newly recorded versions of “Addicted To You,” “traveling” and “Hikari”; ten songs in newly mixed versions; and a special edit of their critically acclaimed song “Somewhere Near Marseilles” as a bonus track.

The upcoming album will include a serial number granting access to the exclusive application for the HIKARU UTADA SCIENCE FICTION TOUR 2024. The Premium Tickets for each live venue can be purchasable only during this exclusive application, accessed via the unique serial number. The HIKARU UTADA SCIENCE FICTION TOUR 2024's application period for album purchasers, including premium and regular tickets, starts from 9 April 2024, 0:00 am and ends on 30 April 2024, 11:59 pm (Japan Time).
